Psalm 147:3 “He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.”
What comfort we can draw from a God that is so in love with His people. How often do we come home at the end of the day and just need a time of refreshing, a time of being encouraged again, of feeling the Lord’s presence surrounding us.
The world, be it work or school or neighbors, friends or, may be, even family, can draw our focus away from where it needs to be. It’s easy to let happen and most often times very subtle. We start our day in prayer, focused on the Lord and then as it progresses we slip into being distracted and our focus shifts from vertical to horizontal. We start looking at the circumstances, the people that we are dealing with, this situations, problems or job assignments and we sometimes get discouraged or beat up in the process either by co-workers, bosses, friends, classmates or even relatives.
It is good to know that our Lord is there for us, not only ready, but able to restore unto us the joy of our salvation. How good God is on our behalf and how comforting to know that He is the Great Healer not only physically but emotionally spiritually and mentally.
